Washington fell 59–6 to the Riley Wildcats on Friday at Everwise Field, but the Panthers found a bright spot in the second quarter when they punched in their first touchdown of the season. Riley controlled the game from the start, yet Washington kept fighting, showed real grit, and finally broke through with a drive that proved this team is still building, still growing, and still competing. Even in a tough loss, the energy in the stands stayed strong, and the Panthers walked away with momentum they haven’t had yet this year — a reminder that the story isn’t finished and the response matters more than the scoreboard.
